WITTY – User Data Deletion Instructions
Data Deletion Policy Overview
WITTY Technology Limited ("WITTY") respects user privacy and provides all users with the right to request deletion of their personal data collected through our platform, including data accessed via Meta / WhatsApp Business integrations. This document describes how a user can request deletion of their data from WITTY systems in accordance with Meta Platform Policies, GDPR, and other applicable data-privacy regulations.
How Users Can Request Deletion of Their Data
Any user who wishes to delete their personal data from WITTY's systems may do so by following one of the methods below:
1. Email Request (Primary Method)
Users may send a data deletion request to:
Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
The request must include:
- Full name associated with the account
- Phone number or email used to register
- Reason for request (optional)
Once verified, WITTY will permanently delete the user's data within 30 days and send a confirmation email.
2. In-App Request (Where Available)
Users may navigate to:
Settings → Privacy → Request Data Deletion
Once submitted, our system will trigger the same 30-day data deletion workflow.
3. WhatsApp Request (For WhatsApp Users Only)
Users connected via WhatsApp may send a message with the phrase:
"REQUEST DATA DELETION"
to our verified WhatsApp Business account. A system confirmation will be returned, and the user will be guided through identity verification before data erasure begins.
What Data Will Be Deleted
Upon verification, WITTY will delete all personal data stored in active systems, including:
- Account profile information
- Chat/interaction history
- Stored documents and uploads
- Transactional metadata tied to the user
- Any data shared through WhatsApp, web app, or mobile app
Certain data may be retained only if legally required, such as:
- Anti-money laundering (AML) compliance logs
- Regulatory audit records
- Financial transaction records required by law
This retention will be disclosed to the user, per compliance requirement.
